Joseph Légier was the first antique dealer to settle in L'Isle sur la Sorgue in 1890. Since the 1960s the number of antique dealers has increased considerably. In the meantime L'isle sur la Sorgue is number 3 in Europe after Saint-Ouen and London. An international antique / brocante foire is held each year at the end of March and August. During the summer you can enjoy the special atmosphere in the beautiful village every Thursday and Sunday. It is wise to leave on time because of the hustle and bustle of the high season.
